No, MAKEACHAMP does not provide tax receipts to contributors. The only way a contributor can get a tax receipts is if the campaign is deemed as a non-for-profit project by another non-profit company who will then provide tax receipts.

Since January 4th 2018, MAKEACHAMP has been totally FREE from platform fees. This officially makes us the global sport crowdfunding platform with the lowest rates on the market. Payment processing fees of 2.9% plus $0.30 per transaction are however still applying. These charges are imposed by banks and other online payment platforms. MAKEACHAMP will transfer the funds to your PayPal account after your campaign is done. It usually takes 5-15 business days to do so.
MAKEACHAMP cannot give tax receipts on your behalf. One way you could provide tax receipts to contributors is to appeal to your Sport organization who is a non-profit organization and ask them to give tax receipts to contributors. If they approve your project as a nonprofit project, they'll be able to give tax receipts to your contributors based on the information provided to you in your contributors dashboard.
As explained in the Handbook, the rewards are necessary because fulfilling the rewards helps establish a connection with the supporters.

The only contributions that will appear on your funding campaign are those that are done through MAKEACHAMP. We recommend you to contribute any funds raised from outside the platform back into your campaign in order to increase the chances of success.

MAKEACHAMP performs a double positive ID check on each and everyone of its campaigns in order to guarantee that athletes running campaigns are authentic and are who they claim to be.
By supporting an athlete, you delve into the athlete’s journey. You are no longer a fan on the side: you are a teammate and a significant contributor to the athlete’s dream. Enjoy the benefits of connecting to them; share their successes and struggles; and be inspired by their passion, determination, and discipline.
You do not need an account on MAKEACHAMP or PayPal to contribute to an athlete. Anyone with a credit card can make a contribution! If you want to add your photo to the list of contributors, all you have to do is connect your Facebook account, and that’s it!
MAKEACHAMP cannot give tax receipts to contributors. However if the campaign is deemed as a nonprofit project an organization might be able to give you a tax receipt. In this case, the athlete will indicate on their campaign that their campaign is a nonprofit project and tax receipts can be issued. MAKEACHAMP is not responsible for any of this, it is the sole responsibility of the athlete to fulfill any promised.
